Water Sports

If you are a water skier or wake boarder, welcome to paradise. The South Thompson River is renowned for flat, calm water that is ideal for both. If you are looking to explore some of the many beautiful lakes in the area, don’t grab your car keys, grab your boat keys. From your private dock, you can boat to Shuswap Lake or Kamloops Lake, both within 45 minutes of the property. For a slower pace, admire the beauty of the surrounding area and the South Thompson River in a canoe or kayak.
Horseback Riding

Located in the heart of ranch country, this property is surrounded by large working ranches as well as small acreages with a few horses. Whether you are an experienced rider or not you can experience the beauty of this area on horseback anytime of the year. If you just prefer an occasional ride, you can plan an afternoon ride or head out on an overnight pack trip to sleep under the stars. Kamloops has a variety of riding stables and shops who offer guided tours for any experience level.
Alpine Skiing

Kamloops is the ideal setting for skiing and snowboarding. The winters in the city are mild but the mountains are usually full snow. Just a 1 hour drive from 3 ski areas in the Southern Interior of BC, you have options. For beginners, the 1,400 feet of varied landscape at Harper Mountain is perfect. While the world renowned Sun Peaks Resort and Silver Star Mountain attract ski and snowboard enthusiasts from around the world.
Fishing

The South Thompson River offers great salmon fishing that you can enjoy, be it from your private dock or trolling up the river to some of the best fishing holes in the area. With over 100 fishing lakes in the surrounding area, Kamloops is also central to many streams and rivers where you can test your fishing skills. Whether you like trolling, using worm and hook, fly-fishing or spin casting, Kamloops is a wonderful place for a day or week of fishing.
Golfing

Kamloops is one of Canada’s hottest new golf destinations, and there’s little wonder why! With a long season that can extend from mid-March well into October, remarkable golf courses, superb conditioning and spectacular views, Kamloops has earned the title of one of the best in British Columbia! Hiking

There is a trail for every skill level in this area. With a variety of trails to choose from and numerous types of terrain, you will never run out of sights to see. There is even urban hiking within Kamloops on the Rivers Trail where you can walk from one end of Kamloops to the other on an easy 16 km trail. Peterson Creek Park offers a beautiful waterfall while Kenna Cartwright Park offers beautiful views of Kamloops and the valleys.
Mountain Biking

Kamloops is the birthplace of “freeriding” and has always attracted mountain biking enthusiasts with over 1000 hectares of public bike trails which range from high-speed, single-track and BMX courses. The Kamloops Bike Ranch Mountain is the best municipal bike park in Canada. There are over 26 hectares of bluffs, pine trees, grasslands, and gullies to explore. Guided tours available to give you the ultimate experience.
